The YMCA of Greater Saint John is a charity made up of a community of caring people helping to enrich lives. Our vision is to be a leader and community partner in developing a healthy, diverse and growing community. We are committed to nurturing the potential of children, youth and families, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility within the community. The Y has been helping the Greater Saint John Community for 165+ years. The Y has 19 locations throughout Greater Saint John. Together, we serve more than 22,000 people. Our focus on inclusiveness and accessibility means we serve people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities through all stages of life. We believe that giving them the opportunities they need to reach their full potential will help them to live healthier and happier lives.

You can support our organization by being a volunteer. As a Y volunteer, you might lead an exercise class, welcome new immigrants, mentor young people, produce a special event or advise on local issues. No matter how you help, you’ll make a big difference as you work with others where you live, work and play.
