Loyalist House is a seasonal musuem in uptown Saint John that dates from 1817. It was built by David Daniel Merritt and has been a museum since 1961. It operates in the summer months and, depending on volunteers, the Fall cruise ship season.
Our Mission:
The mission of the New Brunswick Historical Society which owns ands operates the museum is to preserve and promote Canadian, New Brunswick and Saint John history. Loyalist House interprets late Loyalist era culture c. 1830.
How You Can Support Us:
Loyalist appreciates volunteers who can help with its operations, especially in the Fall months.
