About Avenue B Harm Reduction Inc.:

Avenue B uses harm reduction principles to connect with and minimize harm to people living with substance use issues. Our clients also often struggle with poverty and homelessness. We provide needle distribution services, naloxone training and connections to other services. We also use community donation to provide our clients with basics like water and PBJ sandwiches to assuage immediate hunger needs.

Our Mission:

Avenue B's objectives are: - to minimize death, disease and injury to those engaging in, or associated with those engaging in, high risk behaviours known to spread infectious diseases through evidence based education, support and harm reduction practices; - to provide educational opportunities and awareness-raising activities and to encourage and promote harm reduction practices to the general public, in order to reduce the rate of new infections in our community; and - to support and assist in the development of appropriate and evidence based harm reduction policies and practices in related organizations.

How You Can Support Us:

We recruit volunteers for many positions, from working at the needle distribution desk to board positions.
