The Saint John Jewish Historical Museum tells the story of the Jewish community of Saint John from its beginning in 1783 to the present day. Explore the Jewish history of Saint John, New Brunswick.
THE SAINT JOHN JEWISH HISTORICAL SOCIETY INC. was established for the purpose of researching and preserving the heritage of the Saint John Jewish Community. Our goals are to collect, conserve, and display information on the community's history and to educate students, visitors and others about Jewish culture and history.
How You Can Support Us:
We look for tour guides (May to October) who can engage with visitors and share the stories of the Saint John Jewish community. We can also support opportunities to assist with cataloging and organizing items in our collections, volunteering during hours our library is open and assisting with educational programs.
