“No one should die alone; each human should die with the sight of a loving face.” -Mother Theresa No One Dies Alone is a program which helps to ensure residents have a caring companion in their final hours. As part of our Planetree journey with a person-centered philosophy, we can provide companionship to residents who are actively dying so they are never truly alone. In doing so, we provide a gift of respect and dignity to another human being at the end of life. Dates and Times

We will be hosting a training session for this program on January 29, 2024. Volunteers will need to have all required paperwork filled out prior to attending this training session. NODA is a time commitment, any length of time that you can cover during days/evenings/nights is greatly appreciated.

Required Qualifications

This position requires a Criminal Record Check, as well as a Social Development Check. These documents will be emailed to you once we've received your initial application.

Position Responsibilities

-Provide a compassionate and caring presence for residents who are dying alone -Support those who are dying alone so their death can be as dignified as possible -Relieve the staff who are concerned about a resident who is dying along
