Program Facilitator - Rising Stars Basketball

Hours are Mondays 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Also available opportunities for Friday evenings and occasional weekends if there is interest.

Criminal Background Check / Vulnerable Sector Check / Social Development Check / First Aid

Assist with gym preparation prior to the beginning of each practice / game including: Equipment setup, seating (open/close bleachers), Net/Scoreboard setup. Assist coaches with running drills in small groups (Note: Demo provided by coaches). Equipment tear down. General cleanup of the gym area. Monitor hallway to ensure participants remain in authorized areas only and do not cause any unnecessary disturbance to other programs. Ensure jerseys are returned by players after practice. Administrative tasks. Communicating with coaches as needed. Ensure players requiring transportation board bus and are accounted for. Assist coaches with any miscellaneous tasks as requested by our coaching staff. Provide a positive experience with strong encouragement toward our participants. Dual role as Bus Captain and will travel on the club bus to monitor passengers to ensure safety during travel for traveling participants. Identifying and responding to child / youth behavior issues on the bus or in the facility; program areas. This includes but is not limited to being responsible for the safety and whereabouts of your group at all times. Each volunteer would be responsible for logging their hours within our volunteer system.
