group leader - volunteer advocate

Results Canada
Advocacy & Human Rights

Results is a nonprofit advocacy organization of passionate staff and volunteers committed to generating the political will to end extreme poverty in low- and middle-income countries. We focus our work on global health, access to quality education and economic opportunities. What does political will mean? We believe in mobilizing everyday people (our volunteers) to influence the Government of Canada. We direct our energy and efforts at government decision makers like party leaders, Members of Parliament, and senators because they have the power to improve policies and make the monetary investments needed to end extreme poverty. We also raise awareness by writing letters to the editor (LTEs) and op-eds, using social media, fundraising and more.

Volunteer Benefits

Our power lies in our people – especially our volunteers who are the unsung heroes. Group Leaders will benefit from being integral and essential to the mission of Results Canada and a valued resource to build a network of dedicated volunteers. In addition to the close relationships with volunteers and staff, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced global health experts and highly trained advocates who share your deep passion for international development. You will expand your skills, receive a solid foundation of advocacy and community engagement by addressing current issues (ex. health inequity, COVID-19) and gain practical, real-world experience volunteering with remote teams. Most importantly, you will feel the satisfaction from making a difference.
