Horse Care Volunteer

Flexible scheduling available. We can work around the volunteer's availability.

Current New Brunswick Equestrian Association (NBEA) membership required.

Mucking stalls and maintaining clean, safe living spaces for the horses. Cleaning and maintaining pasture areas. Groundwork with horses including leading, grooming, and handling. Taking horses for walks. Heavy lifting of hay bales possible. Riding may be possible, depending on the volunteer's experience level, at the discretion of WEAH staff.

Volunteers will gain hands on experience in horse care and handling, including grooming, leading, and groundwork skills. They will deepen their understanding of equine behavior and welfare, develop physical fitness through farm work, and become part of a meaningful mission supporting mental health and healing through horses. Volunteers with sufficient experience may also have the opportunity to ride.
