SuperWalk Coordinator

SuperWalk Coordinators play a pivotal role in raising awareness and funds for people living with Parkinson’s. They champion and lead the coordination of SuperWalk in communities, from start to finish, with support from Parkinson Canada. They support the organizing committee and ensure a positive experience for event participants. You will solicit sponsors in conjunction with the Sponsorship Coordinator and ensure the funds collected the day of the event are properly recorded and deposited. You will ensure all activities and actions are in alignment with the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk program and Parkinson Canada Policies.

Dates and Times

The time commitment for this opportunity is 6-8 hours per month, including monthly meetings and post event wrap up. You will also attend the event which is usually held in early September.

Required Qualifications

Position Responsibilities

• Selecting and securing a site for SuperWalk  • Preparing a budget for the local event  • Sourcing local sponsorships  • Recruiting and providing leadership for the organizing committee • Managing volunteers alongside the Volunteer Coordinator • Organizing and Chairing Committee Meetings  • Attending monthly conference calls with Parkinson Canada event staff • Attending and overseeing all aspects of the walk including post walk wrap up
