About Waterford Equine- Assisted Healing:

Waterford Equine-Assisted Healing Inc. (WEAH) is a trauma-informed nonprofit launching in May 2026 in Waterford, New Brunswick. We offer non-riding, equine-assisted healing sessions guided by licensed clinicians using evidence-based approaches, with all services available on a sliding scale to ensure that healing is never a privilege. Our work brings together horses, trained professionals, and community to support individuals navigating trauma, mental health challenges, and emotional healing. We believe in the profound capacity of horses to help hearts heal.

Our Mission:

To provide accessible, trauma-informed equine-assisted healing to individuals across New Brunswick, removing financial barriers to mental health support and fostering resilience, connection, and recovery through the healing power of horses.

How You Can Support Us:

Volunteers at WEAH can support us in a few key areas: horse care and farm assistance (some equine experience preferred), community outreach and event representation, social media and content creation, and fundraising and donor support. We are a small but passionate team making healing accessible to all, and every helping hand makes a difference.
